As your OB/Gyn, we wanted to keep you informed of our recommended strategies regarding the Zika virus. First, we want you to know what it is and why there is so much concern about it. It is a mosquito born virus without vaccine or medication available to treat. The effect of infection with Zika virus during pregnancy has been linked to several adverse outcomes such as pregnancy loss (early loss called miscarriage and late loss called a demise), microcephaly, and other brain and eye development abnormalities. Typically, the infection is assymptomatic. Alternatively, it may present as mild symptoms of fever, rash, joint pain and/or eye redness lasting several days to weeks after exposure.
Currently, we do not recommend changing your travel plans, work or daily living due to Zika virus. We do encourage you to 1. wear long sleeved shirts and long pants 2. use DEET - free EPA- registered insent repellants, and 3. try to avoid travel to affected areas (i.e. areas where local transmission has been documented by cases) - please refer to the CDC website for updated list of these areas.
If you are going to be traveling or have recently traveled to an area where local transmission has been reported, incur(ed) a mosquito bite and then develop a combination of symptoms suggestive of Zika syndrome, please inform us immediately, as testing is recommended. Currently, testing is only done through the CDC.
We are now offering Pelvic Floor Therapy in the comfort of our office!
Also known as Pelvic Muscle Rehabilitation or Pelvic Muscle Physical Therapy, this conservative, non-surgical therapy is used to retrain the pelvic floor and/or bladder muscles. Using this technology we can treat incontinence, urgency, pelvic pain, or to simply re-educate the pelvic floor muscles to restore and maintain health.
Please call our office for more information or to set up a consultation with any one of our doctors.

"I love Dr. Kasparek and her office staff. This is my first pregnancy and I must say they are very caring and always available if I have any questions. The office is warm and pleasant and every visit I always feel like I am with family. to me that is what being a good doctor is all about. I never feel like I am in a doctors office, I feel like I'm at home, that atmosphere is soothing and relaxing. To all new mothers in the johns creek area, I highly recommend this practice."
" I am new to the area and was referred to you by another patient. I am glad I was, your appointments are reasonable and office and staff are nice"
"I had a very positive experience with Dr. Kasparek and the staff. Everyone was professional and made me feel comfortable and confident that my well-being was important. Thanks for accepting me as a patient."
"I love this office!!! I first came here when I was pregnant with my now 2-year-old son and I was under the care of Dr. Kasparek. She is awesome!!Due to certain circumstances we weren't able to have our son under her care. My husband and I were so devastated. But now that I'm pregnant with my Daughter, I wouldn't go to any other OB/GYN! Now we're under the care of Valerie, and she's just as great and efficient as Dr. Kasparek! Whenever we go to the office we always feel so comfortable and welcomed. I talk about them all the time to my co-workers, family, and friends; I can't rave about this office enough. This is one office that even if I lived in another state, I'd only come to see them!"
"We had a wonderful experience with our pregnancy! What an experience to have such personal care and concern from this office. We just love Valerie (midwife). She did such a great job and was so caring and wonderful. She is like part of our family. Dr. Kasperek was a rock. Always there when you need her. All the staff were truly amazing. I highly recommend CWHC!"
"I am very pleased with the attentiveness in your practice. You listen and take time with your patient's needs. I find that rare."
